"പിറന്നാൾ അല്ലേ… അച്ചൻ ഇന്നൊരു കുർബാന അർപ്പിക്കണം, ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി." സന്തോഷമേയുള്ളൂ എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ മറുപടി. ആശുപത്രി ചാപ്പലിലേക്ക് തിരുവോസ്തിയും വീഞ്ഞും എടുക്കാൻ ഓടിയ സുഹൃത്ത് വെറും കയ്യോടെയാണ് തിരിച്ചു വന്നത്. ചാപ്പലിനു പുറത്തേക്ക് ഒസ്തിയും വീഞ്ഞും തന്നുവിടാൻ സാധ്യമല്ല എന്നായിരുന്നു ചാപ്പൽ സൂക്ഷിപ്പുകാരുടെ മറുപടി. അച്ചൻ ഒന്ന് ചിരിച്ചു.
